Biography
Amanda has provided outstanding leadership in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years. As Founder and Executive Director of the Colorado Mental Wellness Network, she championed the need for effective peer support in Colorado’s health system. She worked to establish statewide standards for the role of peers and co-created a state-certified training. Prior to creating The Network, Amanda served as Program Director for a local advocacy organization providing training and education.
Expert in the field of organizational management and change, Amanda previously taught Psychology at Central New Mexico Community College. She also worked to provide essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by overseeing funding for homeless service providers while working for the City.
Amanda has served on numerous nonprofit boards, councils, and advisory committees including Governor-appointed task forces. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the CHARG Resource Center in Denver and volunteers at Foothills Animal Shelter.
In 2018, Amanda co-founded The Nonprofit Strategy Group, providing consulting services to nonprofit organizations. Committed to helping nonprofit organizations achieve improved impact, Amanda excels at delivering trainings, developing strategic plans, grant writing, and coaching.
