Biography
Jenn Skelding is a dynamic facilitator who is known for her sense of humor, positive energy, and ability to get groups laughing and learning. She is a leader in Appreciative Inquiry as an organizational improvement process, and as a research methodology. She is a certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator with the Center for Appreciative Inquiry.
Since 1995, Jenn has worked as a teacher and later in her career as a high school principal. Currently, Jenn is the Executive Director, Student Life & Success at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. She has experience in facilitating, presenting, and collaboratively designing strategies for groups, organizations and schools to build positive futures and to respond effectively to change.
Her background includes teaching, presenting and delivering workshops in a variety of areas: appreciative inquiry; culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies; transformative leadership; pedagogy; curriculum planning and design; and assessment practice.
Jenn completed her Doctor of Education at Western University in London, Ontario. Her dissertation employed Appreciative Inquiry as the central change process for strategic alignment and transformative leadership in a teacher education program.
Jenn has a BA/BEd from Queen’s University, an MEd in School Leadership from Charles Sturt University and an EdD from Western.
